Secretary of Defense Leon E. Panetta hosts an honor cordon to welcome Hungarian Minister of Defense Csaba Hende to the Pentagon today at 4 p.m. EDT.  The cordon will be held on the steps of the Pentagon River Entrance.  Journalists without a Pentagon building pass will be picked up at the Pentagon River Parking Pedestrian Bridge only.  Plan to arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to the event; have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification.  Please call 703-697-5131 for escort to the cordon. 

Deputy Secretary of Defense Ashton B. Carter has no public or media events on his schedule. 

Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller) Robert F. Hale; Deputy Chief Management Officer Elizabeth A. McGrath; Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Financial Management and Comptroller Gladys J. Commons; Assistant Secretary of the Army for Financial Management and Comptroller Mary Sally Matiella; Air Force Deputy Assistant Secretary for Financial Management and Comptroller Marilyn M. Thomas testify at a hearing of the House Armed Services Committee, Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations concerning "DoD Auditability Challenges" at 9 a.m. EDT in room 2118 at the Rayburn House Office Building, Washington, DC.

Update:  The time of the honor cordon has been changed from 2 p.m. EDT to 4 p.m. EDT.
