Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld and Acting Deputy Secretary of Defense Gordon England have no public or media events on their schedules.

Lt. Gen. Carl Strock, commander of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, will conduct a news conference to provide an update on Hurricane Katrina damage repairs. The news conference will be in the DoD Briefing Studio, Pentagon 2E579 at 11 a.m. EDT. Journalists without a Pentagon building pass will be picked up at the North Parking Entrance only. Plan to arrive no later than 10:15 a.m.; have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification. Please call (703) 697-5131 for escort into the building.
