Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld delivers remarks and lays a wreath for the WWII 60th Anniversary Commemoration Ceremony at the JFK Hockey Field near the WWII Memorial on the National Mall, Washington D.C., at 7 p.m. EDT. Army Lt. Gen. John R. Vines, commander of Multinational Corps-Iraq and commanding general of the 18th Airborne Corps, will brief live from Iraq at 9 a.m.in the DoD Briefing Studio, Pentagon 2E579, to provide an update of ongoing military operations in Iraq. Journalists without a Pentagon building pass will be picked up at the North Parking Entrance only.
