Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates and Chief Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Peter Pace will testify at the Senate on Appropriations Committee regarding Global War on Terror funding at 2 p.m. EDT at 106 Dirksen Senate Office Building.

Deputy Secretary of Defense Gordon England has no public or media events on his schedule.

Secretary of the Army Pete Geren and Chief of Staff, U.S. Army Gen. George Casey testify at a hearing of the House Armed Services Committee on Army strategic initiatives at 2 p.m. in room 2118 Rayburn House Office Building.

Pentagon Press Secretary Geoff Morrell will conduct a press briefing at noon in the DoD Briefing Room, Pentagon 2E579.  Journalists without a Pentagon building pass will be picked up at the North Parking Entrance only.  Plan to arrive no later than 45 minutes prior to the event; have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification.  Please call (703) 697-5131 for escort into the building.
