Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeldwill host an armed forces farewell tribute and an armed forces hail ceremony in honor of Air Force Gen. Richard B. Myers, the 15th chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Marine Corps Gen. Peter Pace, 16th chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff at 10 a.m. EDT, Friday, Sept. 30 on Summerall Field at Fort Myer, Va. The ceremony will conclude with a joint service pass in review and flyover. See press advisoryfor details.

Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld and General George Casey, Commander, Multi-National Forces Iraq will conduct a DoD news briefing at 1:00 p.m. EDT in the DoD Briefing Room, Pentagon 2E579. Media without a Pentagon building pass interested in covering this event must have proof of press affiliation and two forms of photo identification and should be at the North Parking Entrance by 12:15 p.m. Please call (703) 697-5131 for escort into the building.
