Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen and Deputy Secretary of Defense Rudy de Leon are in Washington today. There are no public or media events on their schedules.

U.S military personnel and aircraft are participating in the Africa Aerospace and Defence 2000 international trade show and air show at Air Force Base Waterkloof, Pretoria, South Africa, through Sept. 9. See the news release for details.

Millennium Challenge 2000, the armed forces' first joint field experiment, continues through Sept. 13 at various locations in the U.S. See the news release for details.

Cornerstone 00-2, a combined engineering exercise with Moldova, continues through Sept. 16. See the news release for details.
