| Osprey Tests At Sea |

| An MV-22 Osprey takes off from the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Bataan in the Atlantic Ocean, June 18, 2005, while participating in a final test and evaluation period of this experimental tilt-rotor aircraft. The Osprey is an advanced technology, vertical/short takeoff and landing multipurpose tactical aircraft, and is scheduled to replace aging CH-46E Sea Knight and CH-53D Sea Stallion helicopters currently in service.
