 |
| A Neptune Unmanned Aerial Vehicle sits on display at the 2005 Naval Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Air Demo held at the Webster Field Annex of Naval Air Station Patuxent River in St. Inigoes, Md., June 27, 2005. The Neptune was specifically developed to address tactical military operations over land or water, where formal runway systems are unavailable. It can be deployed from surface vessels and can be recovered for day or night operations either on land or in the water. The primary payload is either a color camera or thermal imager.
