Davis Florick is currently assigned to the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) for Policy. He is the Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Homeland Defense Integration and Defense Support to Civil Authorities.
Previously, he served as the director for Eurasia (the Caucasus, Central Asia, and Moldova) (2024-2025), the Director for Plans and Operations in the Office of Information Operations Policy (2023-2024), Special Operations expert in the Office of Irregular Warfare and Counterterrorism (2021-2023), Chief of Staff for the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Homeland Defense and Global Security (2019-2021) and as a Special Assistant for the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy (2018-2019). Davis was the number two author for both the 2018 Nuclear Posture Review and the 2019 Missile Defense Review.
Prior to working at OSD, Davis worked on U.S.-Russia arms control issues at U.S. Strategic Command from 2009-2017. Mr. Florick earned a master's degree in East-West Studies from Creighton University, a second master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Virginia; and is now completing his doctorate in International Relations.
