The "Follow Me" statue stands at the entrance of the National Infantry Museum on Fort Benning, Ga., Oct. 20, 2009. The statue was created in 1959 by two soldiers, Pvt. 1st Class Manfred Bass, sculptor and designer, and Pvt. 1st Class Karl H. Van Krog, his assistant.
