Secretary of Defense William J. Perry, announced on May 13, 1996, that the President has nominated Rear Admiral Patricia A. Tracey, U.S. Navy, for appointment to the grade of vice admiral. It was also announced that she will become the Chief of Naval Education and Training and Director Naval Training, N7, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations in the Pentagon. Rear Admiral Tracey is currently serving as Commander Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, Illinois.
