U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. (Dr.) Kirk A. Milhoan, a pediatric cardiologist, spends a moment with Simon, who was brought to a Zambia orphanage very close to death, July 8, 2008. With the care and treatment he received there, Simon was able to once again be a vibrant and energetic child. The orphanage in Kitwe, Zambia, was founded in 2003 with the help of Dr. Milhoan who is assigned to the 59th Maternal/Child Care Squadron.
