VINTAGE CONVOY Antique military vehicles from the Military Vehicle Preservation Association wind through Washington, D.C., June 13, 2009, at the start of an annual journey that commemorates the Army's first transcontinental motor convoy. About 45 vehicles will make the 3,251-mile trip from Washington, D.C. to San Francisco in 26 days traveling at about 35 mph.
