LIFESAVER AND LIASON U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Mary Warren treats an Afghan girl’s burns during a medical engagement at Aynak School in Afghanistan, July 24, 2010. Warren is a certified combat lifesaver and a water support technician assigned to Combat Logistics Battalion 5. She assisted in treatment and acted as a liaison for female patients. U.S. Navy corpsmen and Marines partnered with Afghan physician Dr. Abdul Bari to treat more than 60 local Afghans during the three-hour event.
