U.S. Marines board and seize control of the German-owned Magellan Star in the Gulf of Aden, Sept. 9, 2010, after pirates attacked and boarded the vessel the previous day. The Marines, embarked aboard the USS Dubuque, are assigned to the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit's Maritime Raid Force. The Dubuque is part of the multinational Combined Task Force 151, established to conduct counter-piracy operations in the Gulf of Aden and the Somali basin.
