Command and support elements for a forward joint task force and other enabling elements are deploying to locations in several West African countries as part of contingency planning for a possible future evacuation from Zaire. The deployment is an enhancement to planning for contingency measures to ensure the security of U.S. citizens in Zaire if an evacuation should become necessary. Menizabal is a loadmaster and Vaneyk is a co-pilot of a C-141 Starlifter from the 4th Airlift Squadron, McChord Air Force Base, Wash.
