U.S Air Force personnel push a pallet of War Reserve Materials off of a K-loader into a C-17 Globemaster III at an operating base in Southwest Asia on Feb. 12, 1998. Members of the 815th Air Mobility Squadron are operating a Tanker Airlift Control Element, commonly called a TALCE, to control all military airlift traffic in and out of their deployed location in support of Operation Southern Watch which is the U.S. and coalition enforcement of the no-fly-zone over Southern Iraq. The War Reserve Materials will be airlifted to other locations in the operating area. The 615th and 815th are deployed from Travis Air Force Base, Calif.
