Senior Airman Jesse Hall uses an air-powered drill to bore a hole in the desert floor as he helps to erect a tent at an operating base in Southwest Asia on Feb. 17, 1998. Hall is one of over 400 U.S. Air Force personnel currently deployed to the Gulf region as part of an Air Mobility Command Tanker Task Force operating in the Southwest Asia theater in support of Operation Southern Watch. Southern Watch is the U.S. and coalition enforcement of the no-fly-zone over Southern Iraq. Hall is a transportation specialist from the 305th Transportation Squadron, McGuire Air Force Base, N.J.
