U.S. Air Force maintenance technicians work on an A-10 Thunderbolt II, at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., to ready the aircraft for a mission during Exercise Joint Red Flag 2005, on March 21, 2005. Joint Red Flag 2005 is designed to train joint forces as they fight. Approximately 10,000 members from the U.S. armed forces, reserves and National Guard, special operations forces and other government agencies will participate in the event.
