The crew of the coastal patrol ship USS Firebolt (PC 10) tends to some of the 89 survivors rescued from the Gulf of Aden after the small vessel they were traveling in capsized 25 miles off the coast of Somalia on April 29, 2005. There are possibly 41 people unaccounted for and 5 were pronounced dead at the scene. The guided missile cruiser USS Normandy (CG 60), coastal patrol ship USS Typhoon (PC 5), and German frigate FGS Karlsruhe (F 212) are assisting in the rescue effort.
