Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Zill Sanders plots the location and bearing of ships in the vicinity of the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63) on June 28, 2005. The Kitty Hawk is currently operating in the Coral Sea off the coast of Australia's Queensland region as part of Exercise Talisman Saber 2005. Talisman Saber is a combined U.S.-Australia command post and field training exercise, demonstrating the U.S. and Australian commitment to the military alliance and regional security. More than 17,000 Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine and Special Forces personnel are participating in the exercise. Sanders, a Navy Operations Specialist, monitors radar, navigation and communication equipment in the ship's command direction center and bridge.
