Air Department personnel of the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) give the thumbs up to retract the catapult shuttle during a test of one of the four steam-powered catapults on the flight deck aboard the ship on Nov. 4, 2005. Lincoln and its embarked Carrier Air Wing 2 are currently conducting quarterly surge sustainment training off the coast of Southern California.
