Jason Young sits and eats a traditional dish of shuro with Ethiopian tribal leaders in Qaralay, Ethiopia, before the dedication of a school on Jan. 11, 2006. The building of the school was a joint project between the U.S. Armed Forces and the Ethiopian government to provide the children of Qaralay, access to education they would otherwise be unable to obtain. Shuro is a dish of ground chickpeas, spices and herbs simmered in Ethiopian butter. SHARE: Download: Full Size (0.09 MB) Credit: VIRIN: 822329-C-AEF55-955.jpg Photo Gallery
