A U.S. Marine Corps assault amphibious vehicle drives out of the well deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5) as it makes its way to the beach on Feb. 23, 2006. The assault amphibious vehicle is assigned to Bravo Company, 2nd Assault Amphibious Battalion and is participating in a beach invasion exercise as part of the Bataan's well deck certification.
