Boy Scouts of America presented Rumsfeld with the Golden Buffalo Award, scouting's highest commendation. The award was created in 1925 and is presented to those who give truly noteworthy and extraordinary service to youth. Rumsfeld joins previous honorees including Norman Rockwell, Charles Lindbergh, Bob Hope, Neil Armstrong and 14 former presidents including Gerald Ford.
