A U.S. Navy plane director directs the pilot of an E-2C Hawkeye aircraft to the catapult for launch from the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) as the ship operates in the Arabian Sea on Nov. 24, 2006. The Hawkeye is the Navy's all-weather, carrier-based tactical battle management airborne early warning, command and control aircraft.
