Peter Pace announce a new policy on Army active-duty unit deployments to the war zones of Afghanistan and Iraq during a Pentagon press briefing on April 11, 2007. Units will be deployed to the U.S. Central Command area of operations for not more than 15 months and can then plan on remaining home for not less than 12 months before another possible foreign deployment.
