Flag Illumination

The U.S. Army Africa headquarters building on Caserma Ederle in Vicenza, Italy, is illuminated with the Italian and American flags as a sign of solidarity with Italy in combating the spread of the coronavirus, May 3, 2020. The ceremonial lighting marked the start of a transitional phase announced by Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte to slowly begin reopening the country May 4.
