Kansas Guard

Army Staff Sgt. Joshua Thompson is the noncommissioned officer in charge of the Kansas Army National Guard’s Detachment 1, Company C, 2nd Combined Arms Battalion, 137th Infantry Regiment. On May 25, 2020, he and other guardsmen helped save the life of a girl who was sitting on the edge of a bridge and appeared to be considering taking her own life.
