A framed photo of Army Cpl. Eldert J. Beek at age 20 is displayed at the Evergreen Cemetery in George, Iowa, June 14, 2021, the day of his funeral services. Beek was killed in action during the Korean War on Dec. 1, 1950. His remains were recovered in 2018 and positively identified in 2020.
