USS Tang

The USS Tang takes aboard aircrew members of downed aircraft and members of a USS North Carolina OS2U float plane that had landed to rescue the men off Truk Atoll, May 1, 1944. Tang was serving as a lifeguard submarine during carrier strikes on Truk.
