F4F Grumman Wildcat

An F4F Grumman Wildcat fighter plane lands on its nose after crash-landing near the runway at Henderson Field on Guadalcanal in 1942. The plane was badly damaged during a dogfight with Japanese Zeros over New Georgia. The pilot was uninjured.
