Samantha Simonton competes at the 2022 USA Shooting Winter Selection Match in Tucson, Ariz., Jan. 15, 2022. Simonton won the Gold Medal and a position on the National Skeet Team. Ten days later, she shipped off to Army Basic Combat Training. After completion of her initial training, she will report to the Army Marksmanship Unit at Fort Benning, Ga.
