Army Pvt. Nicholas Minue Army Pvt. Nicholas Minue, was awarded the Medal of Honor posthumously on April 1, 1944, after bravely losing his life in a key offensive in Tunisia during World War II. Despite more than a decade of prior Army service, he voluntarily held his rank of private so that he could serve in combat.
