The C-17, operated by the 167th Airlift Wing of the West Virginia National Guard, transported the helicopter from Davis-Monthan to Sliač Airport in Slovakia. The Mi-17 is one of 16 helicopters and numerous other weapons systems the United States has committed to the Ukrainian military.
