Freezing Winds

A Marine Corps F/A-18 Hornet assigned to Marine All Weather Fighter Attack Squadron 224 arrives at Tampere-Pirkkala Air Base, Finland, to participate in Exercise Freezing Winds 23, Nov. 16, 2023. Freezing Winds 23 is an annual Finnish-led maritime exercise which includes Marines and sailors from Marine Rotational Force – Europe and U.S. Navy Forces Europe. The exercise serves to increase Finnish navy readiness and European partners’ interoperability in operational logistics, integrated fires, and amphibious operations in and around Baltic Sea.
