Freezing Winds

A helicopter support team comprised of Marines assigned to the Combat Logistics Battalion 6, Combat Logistics Regiment 2, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, conduct a helicopter sling load exercise using a Finnish aircraft during Exercise Freezing Winds 23 in Dragsvik, Finland, Nov. 27, 2023. Freezing Winds is a Finnish-led maritime exercise in which Marines assigned to Marine Rotational Force- Europe and U.S. Navy Forces Europe take part. The exercise aims to increase Finnish navy readiness and increase the interoperability of U.S., Finland and NATO partners and allies in and around the Baltic Sea.
