Floral Farewell

Sailors release flowers into the viewing well of the USS Arizona Memorial during a memorial service for retired Navy Lt. Cmdr. Louis “Lou” Conter at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, April 23, 2024. Conter was the last survivor of the Japanese attack on the USS Arizona on Dec. 7, 1941. Conter enlisted in the Navy in 1939 and retired in 1967 after 27 years of service. He passed away April 1, 2024.
