Memorial Climb

Army National Guardsman Capt. Robert Schapiro memorializes the 343 firefighters and 72 law enforcement officers who died on 9/11 in the World Trade Center’s twin towers by climbing 110 stories of the Washington Monument in firefighter gear, Sept. 9, 2024. He was joined by Army National Guardsman Staff Sgt. Ruben Troyer. The two completed the climb in 1 hour 25 minutes.
