The northern lights illuminate the night sky above the Coast Guard cutter Stratton while operating in the Arctic, Aug. 28, 2024. Stratton returned to its homeport in California after completing a 110-day patrol in the Arctic Ocean, Chukchi Sea and Bering Sea.
