New York Air National Guardsmen fly an HC-130J Combat King II aircraft while supporting response efforts to wildfires in the Pine Barrens region of Long Island, N.Y., March 8, 2025. The 106th Rescue Wing was the first unit to apply water to the fire during a coordinated response that also included the New York Army National Guard and more than 80 local fire departments.
