Defense Secretary Esper Travels to NATO and Munich

Secretary of Defense Mark T. Esper departs Feb. 11 to attend the NATO Defense Ministerial and the Munich Security Conference.

Secretary Esper will meet with key partners and allies at the Defense Ministerial, which will be the first meeting of ministers following the NATO Leaders Meeting in December. There they will discuss the evolving security landscape and readiness initiatives.

Secretary Esper will then attend the Munich Security Conference in Bavaria, Germany. This annual conference is the world's largest gathering on international security policy, during which Esper will meet with a range of foreign officials, thought leaders, and other key defense leaders on a broad range of security issues, including regional stability, the counter-ISIS fight, and the importance of key partnerships.
