Department of Defense Press Briefings on the President's Fiscal Year 2023 Defense Budget

Deputy Secretary of Defense Dr. Kathleen H. Hicks, and Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Navy Adm. Christopher W. Grady will deliver opening remarks March 28 at 1:25 p.m. EDT in the Pentagon Briefing Room (2E973).

Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller)/Chief Financial Officer Michael J. McCord and Vice Adm. Ron Boxall, director, Force Structure, Resources and Assessment, Joint Staff will conduct a briefing March 28 at 1:55 p.m. EDT in the Pentagon Briefing Room (2E973).

Under Secretary of the Army Hon. Gabe Camarillo,  and Director of the Army Budget Maj. Gen. Mark S. Bennett will conduct a briefing March 28 at 2:45 p.m. EDT in the Pentagon Briefing Room (2E973).

Performing the Duties of Under Secretary of the Navy, the Honorable Meredith Berger, and Rear Adm. John Gumbleton, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Budget will conduct a briefing March 28 at 3:35 p.m. EDT in the Pentagon Briefing Room (2E973).

Under Secretary of the Air Force Gina Ortiz Jones and Deputy Assistant Secretary for Budget Maj. Gen. James D. Peccia III will conduct a briefing March 28 at 4:25 p.m. EDT in the Pentagon Briefing Room (2E973).

Vice Adm. Jon A. Hill, director, Missile Defense Agency, and Dee Dee Martinez, Comptroller, Missile Defense Agency will conduct a briefing March 28 at 5:15 p.m. EDT in the Pentagon Briefing Room (2E973).

Due to COVID social distancing concerns, there will be 22 chairs for reporters in the room.  The seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.  Only one seat per news organization is authorized.

The briefing will be livestreamed on Defense.gov and broadcast on Channel 2 in the Pentagon.
