Secretary of Defense Austin and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Milley Press Conference Today at 12:30 p.m.

Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Army Gen. Mark Milley will hold an on-camera press conference at 12:30 p.m. EDT following today’s virtual meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group, the fourth such meeting of defense leaders from around the world since Russia’s unprovoked and unjustified invasion of Ukraine.

Due to COVID social-distancing concerns, there will be 22 chairs for reporters in the room. The seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Only one seat per news organization is authorized.

The briefing will be livestreamed on defense.gov and broadcast on Channel 2 in the Pentagon.
