2024 Budget On-Camera Press Briefing

Deputy Secretary of Defense Dr. Kathleen H. Hicks and Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Navy Adm. Christopher W. Grady will deliver opening remarks March 13 at 10:00 a.m. EDT in the Alternate Pentagon Briefing Room (Airman’s Hall, 4th Floor, Apex of Corridor 9 & 10).

Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller)/Chief Financial Officer Michael J. McCord and Vice Adm. Sara A. Joyner, director, Force Structure, Resources and Assessment, Joint Staff will conduct a briefing March 13 at 10:40 a.m. EDT in the Alternate Pentagon Briefing Room (Airman’s Hall, 4th Floor, Apex of Corridor 9 & 10).

Under Secretary of the Army Gabe Camarillo and Director of the Army Budget Maj. Gen. Mark S. Bennett will conduct a briefing March 13 at 12:00 p.m. EDT in the Alternate Pentagon Briefing Room (Airman’s Hall, 4th Floor, Apex of Corridor 9 & 10).

Under Secretary of the Navy Erik Raven and Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Budget Rear Adm. John Gumbleton will conduct a briefing March 13 at 12:50 p.m. EDT in the Alternate Pentagon Briefing Room (Airman’s Hall, 4th Floor, Apex of Corridor 9 & 10).

Kristyn E. Jones, performing the duties of under secretary of the Air Force, and Deputy Assistant Secretary for Budget Maj. Gen. Mike A. Greiner will conduct a briefing March 13 at 1:40 p.m. EDT in the Alternate Pentagon Briefing Room (Airman’s Hall, 4th Floor, Apex of Corridor 9 & 10).

Vice Adm. Jon A. Hill, director, Missile Defense Agency, and Michelle C. Atkinson, director for operations, Missile Defense Agency, will conduct a briefing March 13 at 2:30 p.m. EDT in the Alternate Pentagon Briefing Room (Airman’s Hall, 4th Floor, Apex of Corridor 9 & 10).

There will be 50 chairs for reporters in the room.  The seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.  Only one seat per news organization is authorized.

There will be no Zoom or dial-in options for this briefing. Additionally, Wi-Fi will not be provided.

The briefing will be livestreamed on defense.gov and broadcast on Channel 2 in the Pentagon.

Both U.S. and foreign journalists without a Pentagon building pass must be pre-registered in the Pentagon Visitor Management System to attend these briefings; please send your name, outlet and a good email to osd.pa.dutyofficer@mail.mil as soon as possible to ensure time to process the pre-registration request.  Plan on being escorted from the Pentagon Metro Entrance Facility only. Please arrive no later than 45 minutes before the first briefing you wish to attend; have proof of affiliation and photo identification.
