Media colleagues, on behalf of the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (USD R&E) and the Indiana National Guard — the USD R&E and Indiana National Guard will hold a joint media day to showcase defense technologies being assessed for rapid fielding during Technology Readiness Experimentation (T-REX) 2024-2, 0900-1200hrs, Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at Camp Atterbury, Indiana.
TREX is a sustained campaign of experimentation developed to support the Rapid Defense Experimentation Reserve (RDER) initiative. As a key RDER event, TREX24-2 is a full-scale exercise featuring tactical scenario demonstrations and a Prototype Technology Display to demonstrate and assess new and innovative warfighting capabilities. The scenario portion of TREX24-2 will assess technologies in a military-relevant environment.
Reporters will have the opportunity to interact with prototype technologies that align with RDER Joint Warfighting Concepts, including, but not limited to, counter UAS, emergent mesh communications networks, and rapid multi-domain threat response.
The event will take place at Camp Atterbury, Indiana, 2949 E North St, Franklin, IN 46131. (Roughly 45-minutes from the Indianapolis International Airport.)
