Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth will depart early this week for a trip to participate in the NATO defense ministerial in Brussels, Belgium, on June 5, and D-Day commemorations in Normandy, France, on June 6. The Secretary will deliver a message at the defense ministerial focused on advancing President Trump's call for NATO allies to commit to spend 5% of their GDP on defense and refocusing NATO on collective defense and deterrence. At the D-day commemorations, the Secretary will participate in events to commemorate the sacrifices of the valiant patriots who fought to secure freedom in Europe and around the world.
