Secretary of Defense Ash Carter will host Israel Minister of Defense Moshe Ya’alon for a visit to Washington Oct. 27-28 to advance the strong defense relationship between the U.S. and Israel.
On Oct. 27 Secretary Carter and Minister Ya’alon will speak to a class of U.S. and international students at National Defense University in Washington, D.C. from 1-2 p.m. The next day the two will visit Naval Air Station Patuxent River for a demonstration of the joint Israeli-U.S. developed technologies on the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter before conducting a joint press conference there. Media will be provided an on-the-record brief on the status of the F-35 program while Secretary Carter and Minister Ya’alon view a classified demonstration.
