Ben Rudolphi is an experience A-10 fighter jet pilot, but says his mind still races a hundred miles an hour before every combat mission. “All I know is that I need to make a direct hit to help our troops on the ground,” he said. Guard Firefighters Train for Urban Search, Rescue Missions
VOLK FIELD AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Wis. —
Air and Army National Guard firefighters from across the country came to train at Wisconsin's Regional Emergency All-Climate Training Center -- known as the REACT Center -- during the Patriot North 17 exercise. The REACT Center specializes in providing the training required for a safe and successful response to natural and manmade disasters for both military and civilian responders.

Airman 1st Class Trevor Galindo, an aircraft mechanic, has followed in his family's military footsteps as a member of Alaska's Air National Guard. Looking up to his father, a retired HC-130 Hercules crew chief, and later watching his older brother, Airman 1st Class Dalton Galindo, enlist as a loadmaster, Galindo had a good idea of what he would be getting into.
