DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

 

American Material Handling Equipment Inc.,* Watkinsville, Georgia, has been awarded a maximum $925,000,000 fixed-price with economic-price-adjustment contract for material handling equipment. This is a five-year contract with no option periods. This was a competitive acquisition with 38 responses received. Locations of performance are Nevada, South Korea and Canada, with an April 19, 2022, performance completion date. Using customers are Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and federal civilian agencies. Type of appropriation is fiscal 2017 through 2022 defense working capital funds. The contracting activity is the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (SPE8EC-17-D-0004).

 

Constellation NewEnergy LLC, Louisville, Kentucky (SPE600-17-D-7508), $15,948,333; Atmos Energy Marketing LLC, Houston, Texas (SPE600-17-D-7506), $14,803,545; Direct Energy Marketing LLC, Iselin, New Jersey (SPE600-17-D-7509), $13,535,478; and Sage Energy Trading LLC,** Jenks, Oklahoma (SPE600-17-D-7512), $11,639,417, have each been awarded a fixed-price with economic-price-adjustment, requirements contract under solicitation SPE600-16-R-0401 for pipeline quality direct supply natural gas. This was a competitive acquisition with 10 offers received. These are two-year contracts with a possible six-month carryover. Locations of performance are Arkansas, Florida, Kentucky, Louisiana, New Jersey, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Georgia, Tennessee and Texas, with a May 31, 2019, performance completion date. Using customers are Army, Navy, Air Force and federal civilian agencies. No money is obligated at the time of award, however, customers are solely responsible to fund these requirements contracts. The contracting activity is the Defense Logistics Agency Energy, Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

 

ARMY

 

Jacobs Technology Inc., Fort Walton Beach, Florida, was awarded a $13,150,000 modification (000408) to contract W52-P1J-13-D-0041 for global logistics and support services contract, providing support functions. Work will be performed in Rock Island, Illinois; Afghanistan; Kuwait; Iraq; Italy; Cameroon; Niger; Germany; Poland; Romania; Sumter, South Carolina; San Antonio, Texas; Fort Shafter, Hawaii; Tampa, Florida; Fort Lee, Virginia; Fort Bragg, North Carolina; Fort Lewis, Washington; and Fort Hood, Texas, with an estimated completion date of April 20, 2018. Fiscal 2017 operations and maintenance (Army) funds in the amount of $4,622,840 were obligated at the time of the award. U.S. Army Contracting Command, Rock Island Arsenal, Illinois, is the contracting activity.

 

Miller Bros. Construction Inc.,* Schuylkill Haven, Pennsylvania, was awarded an $11,485,160 firm-fixed-price contract to construct a Training Support Center at Fort Indiantown Gap, Pennsylvania. Bids were solicited via the Internet with four received. Work will be performed in Annville, Pennsylvania, with an estimated completion date of Oct. 30, 2018. Fiscal 2016 military construction funds in the amount of $11,485,160 were obligated at the time of the award. U.S. Army National Guard Bureau, Annville, Pennsylvania, is the contracting activity (W912KC-17-C-0002).

 

General Dynamics Land Systems Inc., Sterling Heights, Michigan, was awarded a $9,728,774 modification (P00046) to contract W56HZV-14-C-B019 to fund a change in the integrated logistics support contract requirements of the Stryker engineering change proposal 1. Work will be performed in Shelby Township, Michigan, with an estimated completion date of Nov. 26, 2018. Fiscal 2016 and 2017 research, development, test and evaluation funds in the amount of $9,728,744 were obligated at the time of the award. U.S. Army Contracting Command, Warren, Michigan, is the contracting activity.

 

Colt Defense LLC, West Hartford, Connecticut, was awarded a $7,453,690 modification (0005) to foreign military sales (Georgia, Lebanon, Iraq, Slovakia, Pakistan and Bahrain) contract W56HZV-15-D-0038 for 8,730 M4/M4A1 rifles. Work will be performed in West Hartford, Connecticut, with an estimated completion date of Jan. 31, 2018. Fiscal 2017 other funds in the amount of $7,453,690 were obligated at the time of the award. U.S. Army Contracting Command, Warren, Michigan, is the contracting activity.

 

NAVY

 

General Dynamics Electric Boat Corp., Groton, Connecticut, is being awarded a $13,073,716 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to produce ship alterations and United Kingdom ship alterations for Strategic Systems Programs Shipboard Integration and support installations.  Provide technical engineering support for Trident II Submarine Launched Ballistic Missile programs, Ohio-class SSGN requirements, attack weapon system trainer requirements, and advanced weapons system development requirements.  Provide strategic weapon systems technical engineering support for ship systems and subsystems supporting SSBN weapon systems.  Perform technical services for Trident engineering, refueling, and overhaul maintenance period and demonstration and shakedown operation.  This contract contains options, which if exercised, will bring the contract value to a maximum dollar value of $46,536,440.  Work will be performed in Groton, Connecticut, with an expected completion date of April 30, 2020.  Fiscal 2017 operations and maintenance (Navy) contract funds in the amount of $10,237,737; fiscal 2017 other procurement (Navy) contract funds in the amount of $2,727,203; and United Kingdom contract funds in the amount of $108,776 are being obligated on this award.  Contract funds in the amount of $10,237,737 will expire Sept. 30, 2017.  This contract was a sole-source acquisition pursuant to 10 U.S Code 2304(c)(1)&(4).  The Department of the Navy, Strategic Systems Programs, Washington, District of Columbia, is the contracting activity (N00030-17-C-0028).

 

Correction:  The contract announcement on April 13, 2017, to Rolls-Royce Corp., Indianapolis, Indiana, for $372,529,648 (N00019-17-D-0090), should have stated that the repair work was in support of the Marine Corps and the government of Kuwait, not Korea as stated.
